Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada (ACEC)

ACEC

ACEC is the voice of the Canadian private sector engineering companies – a $13.5 billion a year industry which generates 30% of its revenues from international work.

Founded in 1925, ACEC is the national association of consulting firms that provide engineering and other technology-based intellectual services to the built and natural environment. Member companies offer professional engineering services world wide to private sector and government clients. The ACEC’s mission is to promote and safeguard the business and professional interests of the Canadian consulting engineering industry in Canada and abroad.

The Association’s membership consists of approximately 600 independent consulting engineering firms and 11 provincial and territorial member organizations. Members range in size from single-person operations to multinational companies, collectively offering 35 types of services in 273 specializations within 14 major economic sectors.

Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC)

AIBC

The AIBC is a self-governing body dedicated to excellence in the profession of architecture for the benefit of its membership, society and the environment. Through our many community initiatives, professional programs and partnerships with other professional organizations throughout the province and across the country, we strive to be effective and successful ambassadors on behalf of the profession, its practitioners and British Columbia.

Construction Specifications Canada (CSC)

CSC

Construction Specifications Canada is a multi-disciplinary, non-profit association dedicated to the improvement of communication, contract documentation, and technical information in the construction industry. CSC has been serving the industry since 1954.

As part of RCD's on-going partnership with the CSC, over 5,400 product specifiers in Canada, including all CSC members, receive access to Buildcore.com.

Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA)

The Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) is Canada’s only provincial association of General Contractors. Established in 1939, the Association is the advocate and advisor to its member companies. With approximately 200 members, the OGCA represents almost 60 per cent of the institutional, commercial and industrial construction in the province.

Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC)

RAIC

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, established in 1957, is a voluntary national association representing more than 3,200 architects, faculty and graduates of accredited Canadian Schools of Architecture from every region of the country. RAIC is the voice of architecture and its practice in Canada. It provides the national framework for the development and recognition of architectural excellence. RAIC’s mandate is to play a more expansive national role through a tangible regional presence to represent all registered architects in Canada.

Southern Vancouver Island Construction Association (SVICA)

SVICA

The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) represents local industrial, commercial, institutional and multi-residential divisions of construction across Vancouver Island. VICA is comprised of the Southern Vancouver Island Construction Association (SVICA), the Northern Vancouver Island Construction Association (NVICA), and the Mid-Island Construction Association (MICA). SVICA works to serve and promote the business life of all VICA members.

Toronto Construction Association (TCA)

Established in 1867, the Toronto Construction Association (TCA) is one of the oldest, largest and finest construction associations of its kind in North America. With a specific focus on the ICI (industrial/commercial/ institutional) sector of the construction industry, TCA provides a broad range of services and programs to its members. In 1990 TCA established the Mississauga Construction Association (MCA). Conveniently located to serve our members in the regions of Peel and Halton; West Metro; and Mississauga.

Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA)

VRCA

The Vancouver Regional Construction Association established in 1929, is the recognized leader and sought after voice of a strong and vibrant construction industry in the Lower Mainland. With a membership of over 600 General and Trade Contractors, Manufacturers, Suppliers, and Construction Professionals, the BRCA is dedicated to providing information resources, promoting industry standards, values, and ethics, delivering training and educational services, and acting as advocate on behalf of Vancouver’s construction industry.

Windsor Construction Association

WCA

Windsor Construction Association consists of over 300 member companies in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Construction Sectors. These companies work together to promote contractors, subtrades and suppliers by maintaining high standards of ethics, education, safety, environmental practices and training, to create a progressive, competitive construction induction. In 2008, the WCA will be marking 100 years of service to its members.
